The BAE Hawk first flew in 1974. Originally designed as a fighter jet, it is still primarily used as a training aircraft. This faithful replica by Phoenix – with a wingspan of 1.75m – is manufactured using the latest laser-cutting technology as a lightweight and high-strength wooden construction, boasting an impressive level of detail.
Extremely high degree of prefabrication: The model is constructed using extremely lightweight and high-strength laser-cut balsa wood. The design boasts an exceptionally high degree of prefabrication, reducing assembly effort to almost nothing more than the installation of the motor and electronics. Furthermore, the model is completely and authentically covered with iron-on film.
Electric retractable landing gear: Included in the scope of delivery is an electric metal landing gear that can be installed precisely in just a few steps. The robust, sprung landing gear ensures realistic takeoffs and smooth landings, even on grass runways.
Numerous Scale Details: The BAE Hawk from Phoenix Model comes with numerous scale details right out of the box. A particular highlight is the detailed cockpit and the pre-painted pilot figure. But the model isn’t just virtually indistinguishable from its real-life counterpart on the ground – in the air, the Hawk also boasts an impressively realistic flight profile.
