Inspired by one of the most powerful EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) sports jets of all time – the legendary Habu 32x – the E-flite® Habu XS (eXtra Sport) 80mm EDF features a modern design with swept-back wing and tail edges that improve both looks and performance. The overall design, including the wings with Leading Edge Extensions, has been upscaled from the popular Habu SS (Super Sport) models in 50mm and 70mm scales to provide impressive flight characteristics at low speeds. This makes flying at lower speeds and landing much easier. This makes the Habu XS one of the best “full-house” jet models for EDF beginners and one of the best everyday sports jets for experienced pilots!

Both versions are equipped with LED lights, shock absorbers and a powerful drive system that is compatible with popular 6S 4000-7000mAh batteries. The Spektrum Avian 130A Smart ESC also offers an optional thrust reverser. The BNF Basic version also includes a factory-installed AR637TA+ receiver that provides real-time telemetry data and is equipped with exclusive, precisely tuned AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. This ensures a faster take-off and an easier and more enjoyable flying experience compared to other models in this class!

Based on the legendary Habu design, the E-flite® Habu XS (eXtra Sport) 80mm EDF is a more powerful and versatile “full-house” version of the popular Habu SS (Super Sport) models in 50mm and 70mm scales. With an extremely wide flight range that combines impressive low- and high-speed performance and aerobatic capabilities, it is an excellent choice for experienced and less experienced jet pilots.

At its core, a 6S-compatible Spektrum brushless motor works with an Avian™ 130A Smart ESC paired with a 12-blade fan. This system delivers impressive speed, thrust and turbine-like sound – all without the “cheater” holes. The jet reaches a top speed of up to 193 km/h (120 MPH) and offers impressive climbing performance. In addition, batteries from 4000mAh to 7000mAh can be used to enable exceptionally long flight times.

Assembly requires no glue, and the factory-finished wings, tail units and fuselage are simply bolted together, so the Habu XS is ready to fly in no time. The lightweight, composite-reinforced EPO frame is finished at the factory in a high-quality, fully painted design. Plastic-reinforced flaps and openings increase durability and prevent damage or chipping when inserting or removing the batteries. Eight factory-installed metal-geared digital servos with ball-and-socket linkages and control surfaces with unique hinges provide precise control at any speed.

Exclusive technologies

The BNF Basic version of the Habu XS 80mm EDF is equipped with the exclusive Spektrum AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. The improved AS3X+ technology compensates for wind and turbulence and provides an even more stable flight feel reminiscent of a larger aircraft. SAFE Select offers optional tilt and roll angle limitations, as well as automatic self-stabilization that can be switched on and off with a switch.

Smart Technology

The exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart ESC provides real-time telemetry data such as battery voltage, power consumption, motor speed and more – with both smart and non-smart batteries. This data can be accessed via compatible receivers and Spektrum AirWare transmitters during flight.

eXtra Precision

The EPO frame, reinforced with composite materials, is lightweight yet robust. Eight metal-geared digital servos with ball-and-socket linkages provide precise control at any speed.

eXtra functionality

The factory-installed flaps improve slow flight characteristics and enable take-offs and landings over shorter distances. LEDs provide better visibility and orientation.
