P-47 Thunderbolt GP/EP SCALE 16% ARF
The Phoenix P-47 Thunderbolt is a true-to-scale warbird with a wingspan of 2.01m. The model is constructed using an extremely lightweight and high-strength wooden frame and is designed for electric or internal combustion engines.
The original Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was the largest, heaviest, and most expensive fighter aircraft in history powered by a single piston engine. It was heavily armed with eight .50 caliber machine guns (four per wing). Fully loaded, the P-47 weighed up to eight tons and, in its fighter-bomber and ground attack roles, could carry five-inch rockets or a substantial bomb load of 2,500 pounds—more than half the weight a B-17 bomber could carry on long-range flights.
The model – absolutely true to the original . This Phoenix model is in no way inferior to its full-size counterpart. Numerous beautiful details make the P-47 look just like the real thing when viewed from the ground. A rearview mirror, antennas, and eight weapons complete the scale appearance. And in the air, the model presents an absolutely scale flight profile, virtually indistinguishable from that of the full-size aircraft. Even the cockpit, pilot, and instruments are realistically reproduced.
Wooden construction with an extremely high degree of prefabrication. The model is constructed using an extremely lightweight and high-strength balsa/plywood construction method. The laser-cut structure boasts an exceptionally high degree of prefabrication, reducing the assembly effort to almost nothing more than the installation of the motor and electronics. Ample space for installing the electronics is provided under the large, removable canopy. The P-47 comes completely covered with film.
Electric retractable landing gear included. The model comes with electrically retractable main landing gear and an electrically retractable tail skid. The landing gear legs are made entirely of CNC-machined metal.
Electric or combustion engine? This model can do both! The design is prepared for both electric and combustion engine propulsion. So the only question is: awesome sound or absolute efficiency?
