The original Piper PA-18 Super Cub is a two-seat, single-engine monoplane developed from the Piper PA-11. Over 9,000 were built during its nearly 40-year production run. Super Cubs are frequently used for bush flying, banner towing, and glider towing.
Like the full-size aircraft , the FMS PA-18 Super Cub boasts excellent short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities. The model can be airborne in less than 3 meters! Thanks to its functional flaps and airfoil, the Super Cub can be flown very slowly and realistically. The oversized balloon tires and sprung metal landing gear make takeoffs and landings possible even on high grass runways and uneven terrain. A float set is also available as an option.
Ready to fly in minutes: Thanks to its bolted construction, the PA-18 Super Cub can be assembled in no time. The motor and six 17g servos are pre-installed, and all linkages are pre-installed.
Powerful propulsion: The Super Cub is powered by a 4S LiPo battery and a powerful 35mm brushless outrunner motor with 750KV. A Predator 45A ESC controls the motor. With the recommended 4S 2200 to 2600mAh battery, flight times of approximately 4 to 5 minutes are possible.
Integrated lighting: The FMS PA-18 Super Cub comes fully equipped with navigation lights and a landing light. Especially at dusk, the model looks just like the real thing and becomes a real eye-catcher.
Off to the water! To transform the PA-18 Super Cub into a true bush plane, the model can be optionally equipped with a scale model float set that fits perfectly. The rudders allow you to steer the model on the water and move it into the correct launch position.
3. 2. 1… Yours? The PA-18 Super Cub is perfect for all pilots who want a very versatile and easy-to-fly model in their hangar.
