The aerobatic models of Extreme Flight are loosely based on real aircraft, while the designer allowed himself a number of modifications to create a model with a unique look and flight performance. The designation EXP has nothing to do with the actual aircraft, but is an abbreviation of the words “Experimental Progressive”. This designation was chosen because the Extreme Flight models use several advanced design and aerodynamic concepts. In the lightweight construction, which is based on balsa and plywood parts, carbon and glass composite materials are generously used – and in the right places – to achieve high strength and rigidity of the kite at minimum weight. The result is a robust model capable of handling aerodynamic loads over a wide range, but light enough to achieve a low surface load.
The kit includes tuning winglets or Side Force Generators (SFG) that increase the effective side area of the model, making knife flight and other turnaround-dependent turns easier and more stable. These winglets also make the model more stable at high angle turns. We strongly recommend that you mount them on a model and experiment with them.
Perfectly sprayed laminate engine cover and aerodynamic wheel covers as well as the possibility to choose from several color schemes of the ULTRACOTE (= Oracover) ironing foil cover with high visibility will provide you with a model that you will be rightly proud of at the airport. The combination of all these modern elements creates a model that pushes the boundaries of modern acrobatic flying. Extreme Flight models excel in all modes of modern aerial acrobatics, including slow 3D acrobatics at low altitude, fast and aggressive extreme acrobatics and classic precision acrobatics.

The fuselage of the model is an innovative construction of plywood and balsa laser cut parts coated with carbon fabric (= saving weight and at the same time increasing stiffness) with composite reinforcements with removable laminate engine cover and removable upper fuselage with cab for perfect access to the propulsion system and RC equipment. The motor is mounted in the rear mounting on plywood box beds; a tunnel on the underside of the fuselage is prepared for possible installation of a tuned muffler.
The two-part wing with a symmetrical profile (the halves slide from the side onto the carbon pipe coupling and secure with screws) is also a classic construction with an all-balsa rigid coating. The ailerons with a large area are controlled by 2 independent servos. You can provide the wing ends with the supplied winglets.
The tail surfaces are light all-balsa constructions, the GTC is one-piece, for gluing to the fuselage. The halves of the elevator are controlled by a servo mounted in the rear of the fuselage with a short straight rod; the rudder is also controlled by a short rod, the servo is also located in the rear of the fuselage. The entire model is coated with ULTRACOTE iron-on foil (this is the trademark used in the USA for the well-known Oracover foils).
The chassis is of the spur type with carbon main legs, wheels with laminate covers and a wire spur with a carbon bracket coupled to the rudder.
For the drive you will need an AC electric motor Torque 4016T / 500 or FOXY G2 C3530-570 with 80-90 A speed controller powered by 5-6S LiPo battery 3300-4000 mAh with a load capacity of at least 40C. At least a four-channel computer RC kit is suitable for controlling the model – option programming double and exponential deflections in the correct size is essential for flying acrobatics – classic accurate and extreme 3D -. Hitec HS-5245MG, HS-7245MH, etc. The kit contains: iron-on foil coated fuselage, wing and tail surfaces, sprayed laminate engine cover, complete set of accessories, carbon chassis, spur, light wheels and instructions.
